Erosion Control Blankets "RECP's"

RECPs are prefabricated products made of natural or manmade fiber, intended for use on slopes in order to control erosion and the loss of sediment by assisting in the establishment of vegetation, protecting seed and soil during germination, retaining moisture to enhance seed growth.  RECPs must be properly staked to be effective.  RECPs degrade over time, depending on the specific fiber and netting used, and do not need to be removed.

SECA offers a broad range of RECP made from straw, excelsior, and coconut.

Based on the types of fiber and netting used, the functional life of the may be adjusted depending on site specific needs.
